Girls Basketball

Worthing D&D Basketball Club welcomes girls of all ages and abilities to train, compete and grow in Basketball.

Dedicated Girls Training Sessions

Our Girls Skills Session is new for the 2026/2027 season and we hope to continue growing the group to build a girls program. During the session we split into 2 groups, one for beginners and another for advanced players. We work on a different skill each week and meet each girl a their skill level. The of the main goal of the session is to provide a safe girls-only space for female players to build time with the ball in their hands and contact confidence for the girls to help them feel more comfortable on the court whether playing with other girls or with the boys.

We run this training on fridays 18:00-19:00 at Worthing High School, Worthing, BN14 7AR every week. Please contact the club if you are interested in joining, the first session is free!

Girls Competition

Our coaches work with other clubs with girls in the area to organise friendly games and tournaments. Unfortunately Sussex does not have a dedicated girls basketball league but we are working with Sussex Basketball Association to change that. We started last year by helping to organise mini 3 vs 3 tournaments for girls in the area. and we hope to expand this in the 2026/2027 season.

Girls are also welcome to compete in any of our Local League teams which are all mixed gender. We have many girls already playing local league in our mixed gender teams as well as attending our girls only sessions.

New players are always welcome — no prior experience required. Get in touch to find out more.
